Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about the photo grid maker.
Is GridPhotoMaker really free?
Yes. You can make as many grids and collages as you like with no sign-up, no watermark and no time limit.
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. Every step runs in your browser using the canvas. Your pictures are never sent to our servers, which also makes the tool fast.
How many photos can I use?
Quick grid handles 2 to 25 photos in grids up to 5 by 5. Large collage arranges 25 to 100 photos on one print-size poster.
Can I choose my own rows and columns?
Yes. Pick a preset such as 2×2 or 3×3, or use the Rows and Columns sliders for any grid from 1×1 to 5×5. Leave Auto-fit on and the grid adapts to the number of photos you add.
Can I crop or reposition each photo?
Yes. Drag inside a panel to choose which part of the photo stays visible, scroll or use the Zoom slider to zoom, and use Replace, Remove and Move to rearrange panels.
What styles and frames are available?
Adjust spacing, rounded corners, background colour and an optional border, then add a Polaroid, Film, Sticker, Sunset or Arch frame.
Can I make grids for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook or LinkedIn?
Yes. The quick formats set a sensible grid and canvas ratio for each platform, and every setting can still be changed afterwards.
Can I try it without my own photos?
Yes. Press Try sample to load four generated demo pictures into a 2×2 grid, then experiment with layouts, ratios and frames.
How does the Large collage work?
Add 25 to 100 photos, choose Smart rows or a Uniform grid, pick a poster size and fit mode, review the photo order and download a print JPG or PNG. Smart rows keep whole photos visible so nothing is cropped.
Can I make many collages at once from a ZIP file?
Yes. The Batch Collage Maker accepts images and ZIP files, splits them into as many grid collages as needed and downloads them all in one ZIP.
Which image formats are supported?
JPG, PNG and WebP work everywhere. GIF, BMP and AVIF work in browsers that can display them. Downloads are PNG or JPG.
